Watch Me Grow

Nyla

Nyla at 1 week:
The first pictures of Nyla, showing the back of her head, which is beautiful. Her well-defined, very noticeable ocelli, along with those stripes behind her head, grant her the looks of the Serval. She has spots all along her body. *

Nyla at 1 month:
We see that her fur has a nice golden shine, and her spots are more and more defined. *

Nyla at 2 months:
Just one week before she would arrive home, the waiting was becoming very difficult when faced to these magnificent pictures. The back of her head is simply stunning, with those well-defined, deeply pronounced stripes. Her ocelli are also beautiful and show a lot. She has started her "Fuzzy" phase, a temporary period during which her fur acts to protect her against predators. *

Nyla at 3 months:
Already 1 month that she's been with us, and she just keeps on growing. She's pretty as always with all those spots everywhere, her little black nose and those well-defined ocelli. The back of her head is still breathtaking.

Nyla at 4 months:
She has magnificent double-tone spots that appear more clearly as the days go by. She loves to play and to go fetch her little mouse.

Nyla at 5 months:
She's always ready to play and to jump. She springs up higher and higher. Nyla is a grade-A hunter, constantly ready to jump on her feather.

Nyla at 6 months:
Nyla's a little musician: all the small and cute sounds she makes are beautiful. She likes to talk to us and we can't get enough. She loves to walk on high grounds and show off her Serval-like allure and wild exotic look.

Nyla at 7 months:
Nyla loves showing us her wild side who comes from her Serval grand-father. She's still a littlebit "fuzzy" but we can see all the beauty of her fur.

Nyla at 8 months:
Nyla loves to play and throw her little fish around, and we enjoy looking at her doing her show. Her measurements are (approx.) 21,5" long and 12" from ground to shoulder.

Nyla at 9 months:
Nyla's striking the pose again for us. But we have to remember that behind this angelic cat image an always-ready-for-action-Nyla is hiding. Her golden color is getting richer and her back of the head and shoulders stripes are still incredible.

Nyla at 10 months:
Nyla uses her charms to get all what she want. How to resist this cute little face. She's so sweet with us. She loves to be the center of attention and get the first pet in the morning. She's the little princess of the family.

Nyla at 11 months:
Nyla likes to make her own bed, she prefer her way. She's too irresistible when she go to bed. She loves it when we take pictures of her; Nyla is a real Diva.

Nyla at 1 year:
Nyla's now one year old and still makes us fall with her cute little face. She's really the little princess of the house. She always pose like a professional model, making the choice of the photos difficult. Happy birthday Nyla!!

The next pictures of Nyla will be at a 6 months interval, since the biggest changes are taking place in the first year. She will now only grow and put on some more muscles.
Nyla at 1 year and a half:
Nyla's always adorable, the little princess of the family. But when it's time to play, she's lightning fast stand her ground. When it's time to relax, she's very gracious and show us how tall she really is.

The next pictures of Nyla will be at a 6 months interval.
Nyla at 2 years old:
Nyla, the family's little princess. She's always there, watching and making sure everyone is happy and well. She's adorable as always, and so cute! Happy birthday Nyla!!

The next pictures of Nyla will be at a 6 months interval.

Nyla at 3 years old:
Nyla is now 3 years old and adores being photographed. She is very soft and gentle with us and play the mother with the others. How to resist with the depth of this glance?

Rest in peace, Nyla.
Nyla left us on March 9th, 2011. It was a very difficult period for us and for the other cats in the house. We never thought of losing Nyla so early, but the cancer won the battle. We know that she is there, among us and that she watch over us. Nyla, we miss you a lot, there is no day that we do not think of you, but we know that you are better where you are today. We spent wonderful moments with you and we know that the life which you had with us was filled with love and joy. We shall never forget the sounds you made and the discussions we had, the way you placed your blanket by arguing with it or the way you had to snuggle with us. We miss you a lot. We will always love you.
